About
My approach to landscape photography is shaped by attention to timing. I work with environments as they are — in season, in use, in transition — allowing each image to register a condition that will not exist in quite the same way again.
Based in Sintra since 2022, I work across the Lisbon region and Alentejo, observing how light, season, and human use subtly alter coastlines, forests, and open land. Some images are absent of people; others hold them at a distance. In both cases, the work considers atmosphere as much as subject.
My background is in journalism. After earning a Master’s degree in 2014, I reported on business, politics, and economics in Dubai and Washington, D.C. That training continues to shape the way I see — attentive to context, structure, and the quiet details that suggest a larger story.
Photography entered my life much earlier. As a child, my father, an artist, built a small darkroom in our Brooklyn apartment. Experiencing photography at a young age forever changed the way I see the world.
My photographs are produced as limited editions on archival materials and released in studio and architectural formats.
